How it works
A clear coat for the lens
TPU or tinted film shields the polycarbonate lens from UV yellowing and stone pitting — the two things that age a headlight. The lens stays clear longer, and the car reads as newer at night.
It protects and restyles; it does not restore. A lens that is already clouded needs a restorer first, then film to keep it that way.
Selection
Clear, smoked or colour-changing
Clear protects without changing the look; smoked tints the lens for restyle; colour-changing reacts to light. Pick by what the market allows and what the buyer wants to see — and remember that smoked reduces output.
Installation
Wet-applied, trimmed to the edge
Supplied pre-cut or on the roll, wet-applied and trimmed to the lens edge. A clean lens before film is the whole job — film over dirt traps it permanently.
Export packing
Small rolls, careful packing
Boxed, palletised for sea freight; private-label cartons on OEM runs. Say the destination and we build the packing to it.
Limits
Where this film is the wrong answer
Headlight film protects and restyles; it is not a headlight restorer and it cannot fix a lens that is already clouded. Smoked grades reduce output and must clear local rules.
Questions
What buyers ask before ordering
Four questions that decide most orders in this series.
Clear or smoked?
Clear where the buyer wants protection without a look change; smoked where restyle is the point and local rules allow the light reduction. When in doubt, clear is the safe specification.
Does it stop yellowing?
It slows UV yellowing and pits; it does not restore a lens that is already yellow. That is a restorer job first, film second.
Any rules on smoked film?
Smoked film reduces light output. Where the market regulates headlight output, clear is the specification that keeps the buyer legal.
How is it packed for export?
Rolls boxed, palletised, strapped; cartons carry your brand on private-label runs. Say the destination and we build the packing to it.
