Automotive ceramic
Ceramic tint for shops that are tired of comebacks
The complaint that kills a tint brand is not price, it is a film that turns purple in year three or blocks the customer’s phone signal. Ceramic is the answer to both, which is why it commands the margin.

Detail
Why shops pay more for ceramic
No metal layer means no signal interference and no galvanic corrosion at the edge. Nano particles hold colour better than dye under UV, so the car that leaves the shop looking right still looks right two summers later.
For a shop, that is a warranty story and a referral story. For a distributor, it is a range that does not come back.
Ordering
What to send us
Market, VLT target, roll width and annual volume. With those four we can quote a construction and a price rather than a range and a maybe.
Private label is available from a minimum quantity per SKU, including carton and core print.
Performance
Why installers pay more for ceramic
Ceramic film earns its price in the bay, not on a spec sheet. It does not contain metal, so it does not interfere with keyless entry, GPS or mobile signal — a complaint that lands on the installer, not the factory. The colour is stable, so a car filmed this year still matches one filmed three years ago. And the infrared rejection is achieved without a dark, mirror look, which matters on modern cars with large glass areas and light interiors.
The installation behaviour matters as much. A good ceramic construction shrinks predictably on a rear screen and does not ghost or silver at the edges. A cheap one fights the installer, and a film that fights on a compound curve costs more in labour than it saves in price.
For a distributor, that is the argument: sell the installer a film that reduces call-backs, and the price difference stops being the conversation.
Supply
Ordering automotive ceramic from a factory
Automotive ceramic runs on a different line from architectural film. The practical order is narrow rolls in a small number of shades, with the shade range fixed by the market's legal limits rather than by preference.
Sample first, and sample on a curve. Ask for a short roll of the exact construction you intend to stock and put it on a rear screen before committing. Shrink behaviour is the one property that cannot be judged from a datasheet, and it is the property that decides whether installers reorder.
Label the measured light transmission on the carton. In a market with roadside enforcement, a carton that does not state the number is a liability for everyone in the chain.
Questions
Before you ask
The three questions that come up on almost every enquiry.
Does ceramic film really reject more heat?
It rejects more infrared than dyed film at the same VLT, and it does it without a mirror. The measured numbers belong on the datasheet, not in a claim.
Is it harder to install?
Ceramic film is generally stiffer than dyed film and less forgiving on deep curves. Shops that install it daily do not report a problem; occasional installers sometimes do.
Can I get samples before a container?
Yes — short lengths for installation testing, charged and credited against the first order.
Does ceramic film affect phone or GPS signal in a car?
Non-metallised ceramic is chosen precisely because it does not. That is its main practical advantage over a metallised automotive film.
Can you match a factory privacy glass?
Often closely, but not exactly — factory tint is in the glass, not on it. Send a photograph in daylight and we will suggest the nearest shade; approve on the actual vehicle.
What thickness do you supply for automotive?
Automotive constructions are thinner than architectural film and are built to shrink to compound curves. The exact figure is confirmed on the datasheet for the shade you order.
Do you supply cut patterns?
We supply rolls. Plotter patterns are normally a distributor or installer function, and we can advise on which constructions cut cleanly in a plotter.
